It does what it's supposed to do very well. Some have complained that it's not dishwasher safe, but I wouldn't put a knife in the dishwasher so that's not a problem. I will check out their other knives because I am really impressed with the sharpness and cool look of the knife. I have no idea how long it lasts unless other customers rave about it, I've only had it a few weeks. Incredibly cheap for a great, well-made knife. Love it!

Yes, it's spicy. It glides easily through tomato skin and human skin. Double hollow bottom for straight cuts without offset. In fact, it's not biased at all in what it cuts. This is a great knife but be careful with it. Oh yes, it has an aluminum handle, so don't wash it in the dishwasher. You must wash it by hand. I have been using Rada paring knives for many years because of the price and just came across the serrated tomato slicer. I'm glad I'm done with this new find of garden tomatoes this season. It's better than slicing tomatoes with Rada paring knives. The shiny silver pins will fade over time as will the blades so I just buy new ones. If anyone can point me to a better option for this price I will try. But right now I couldn't be happier.
