An essential addition to any walkabout backpack!

For a speaker of this size the sound quality is amazing The battery life is solid The hand crank works well and the solar panel is slow but... Works All in all a great radio.

Great for ubiquitous use and hurricane season!

Very easy to use, great sound with no distortion when you turn it all the way down, love the crank option and the cell phone charging option. It even has lightning and solar charging, which works well.

It has a flashlight, AM/FM radio, weather alerts, Noa, solar panel, rechargeable battery, great sound and station pickup, and you can use it to charge devices like your phone or tablet. Good emergency radio for home or pocket

Radio Shack AM/FM/WX Emergency Radio

This little radio arrived just in time for the NOAA NWS/SPC overnight Level 5 severe weather forecast. I loaded it up and found the right NOAA station for my area. I listened for a few minutes, then flipped the switch to ALERT and went to bed. . . . . oh yes it works, good! The alarm went off in the middle of the night; scared me to death with a noise I wasn't expecting (sounded like something out of a sci-fi movie). But hey – it definitely got my attention.
