Works but extra effort

This is an increase from the $150 set at Revain. I bought a cheaper set and had issues with bad threads and poor quality. I tried this one but went the extra step of purchasing stainless steel hardware. I also used a 3/8-18 tap on the treads because the paint had built up on them. Used multipurpose grease on the brake and derailleur holes. And made sure everything fits well before you put it on the bike. It took a little longer and cost me about an extra $20, but it's still cheaper than Harley…

Great buy for motorcycles and weight training

Everything came in the packaging as promised. no burr issues as others have said and no missing parts. At first I was hesitating between "should I save money" and "should I rather buy a branded Harley"? After receiving them and putting them on, I had no choice. You look great. They are comfortable and I used Loctite to keep the screws from loosening. I've ridden about 300 miles since putting them on and they're still fine. I cannot recommend them enough. You are a great buy. Save money and…

Good product - does the job but not as good as the Harley kit

This kit did the job well as it works as advertised. However, there are a few things I didn't like about this product. First, different parts have different finishes. For example, one part was glossy black and the other was matte black. It wasn't that abrupt and didn't matter much. Another minor note is that the shifter has too much play for my liking. It can wobble back and forth a little when driving over bumps. I installed it on a 2014 Iron 883 which this kit was NOT made for. It can be…

Does not fit - pedal controls

Product looks good apart from the photocopy of the instructions. Anyway, assembling is a nightmare because I have to file the washer locks and after getting a wire brush as far as I can get to the bolt steps and hole it still won't screw together, it took me three days to do it to assemble it together. So I bought a lock washer file and finally put everything together, I took everything apart on the right side and the bracket for my derailleur doesn't go far enough to secure the bolt. When…

They do their job but don't expect perfection!

These baddies were definitely what I needed for my 2005 HD 883 XL Low. The bike was bought used by a short person and I'm only 5ft 9" but they were totally worth the investment. I haven't had any issues with scratches or chipped paint, but these pegs are not without complaints. Their assembly is incredibly loose, almost to the point where you're constantly worried about them wobbling at high speeds. The shifter shakes constantly when the bike rumbles, and worse at highway speeds. Part of the…

Excellent product for $

Can't be beat at this price! The installation took two (comfortable) hours from start to finish. The instructions are ok and better than expected. If you need further instructions see the factory PDF, it's pretty self explanatory. Powder coating best EHHH. These kits are NOT painted, they are keyed and peel off easily. For the reviewers who said they had the same side kicks: both sides are identical, just reduce the set screw and turn. With that said, I used my factory pencils for the original…

This is a good deal, good quality, good fit.

Despite all the bad reviews about these front arms, I bought them and installed them on my '08 Nightster. Some of the negative comments are from possibly unqualified people to do this setup. This is a fairly simple setup. Also, the instructions seem to have been updated after some previous reviews. Mine came with 4 page illustrated and detailed instructions. If I have any complaints, it's the difference in finish from one piece to another. Some parts are very shiny, some are dull or almost…

A good product. suitable for motorcycles and weight training

Bought for my son's Sporty. My bike has Harley front steering. Now it's not exactly Harley quality. You are not bad. They also went pretty easy. The instructions aren't very good, but you can get by with them. This isn't rocket science. Be sure to thread the screws in and out before stripping the paint off them. Also use the blocking to the right. Some reviewers complained about the paint on the carvings. I call it good painting. Some other reviewers also complain about getting 2 right or 2…
