Best.tool.ever! The little cheap plastic tool did NOT work. Too much play in it and I could NOT align the transmission input shaft. Ruined Saturday morning fighting him. This tool has much better tolerances. I reinstalled the clutch and pressure plate, and the transmission "rose up like clockwork".

This tool is probably one of the best tool purchases I have ever made. I struggled to install my Tremec after using the cheap plastic alignment tool that usually comes with the clutch. Used and everything worked on the first try. You will not regret your purchase. Plus it was cheaper than trying to find a used input shaft which is another better alternative to that plastic tool.

This alignment tool made installing my new clutch easier. The car has a zf6 transmission that weighs about 160 pounds. A plastic alignment tool will not help align the clutch disc and pilot bearing splines. This steel alignment tool is a duplicate of the transmission input shaft. So the transfer went very smoothly, no fuss was required. It's quite expensive but worth it.
