I'm confused. The rod I received is a straight, inflexible metal rod. It is not easy to bend or adjust. If you look at the picture in this listing you might think that this is adjustable because the picture in the picture has curves. To make things even more confusing, the title says "Rigid Aluminum Bar". So what is it? In any case, the product description or the image itself is wrong and needs to be corrected.

Just note that you may need to customize the mounting plate to suit your application. This is a solid mount for a 1" ram ball mount. For my Tacoma, I had to trim the bottom mount slot by about an inch and use a 5/8" washer for the gap to hold it firmly in place. Half a spacer would have worked, but 5/8 was what I had on hand. This is a good solid mount. for my large GPS keeping it safe and about knee height. Good for my use.

First of all great product. Second, make sure you know that this thing is a long stick, and while it looks like a flexible microphone stick, it's just a metal stick that can be bent into the shape you want. And when I say bend, I mean you need tools to make complex bends. It has nice accordion wave cover and it works great. Like this product a lot. Just know what you get here.

I have had RAM mounts on several heavy duty vehicles and off road bikes. Excellent stuff. The first pack was missing an aluminum bar, so Revain sent a second ready. Installation is easy. Cut the rod to the required length. Bend by hand or with a pipe bender as desired. Install with the provided hardware. The seat mount is strong enough for a phone. Get a laptop mount for heavier gear (I had two laptop mounts). Yes, the mount will shake a little from the movement of the car, everyone has it.

The included stem is a Ø1/2" x 18" fully annealed aluminum straight stem. It can be bent by hand or over the knee, but is not permanently flexible. It will eventually experience flex fatigue and break if repeatedly adjusted. It is better to install it in place and leave it with the jig. Well I usually like Ram bindings. This one is ok out of the box. First of all this is the cheapest laptop stand they make, it comes with no extra frills or parts, just what you absolutely need. If you have a lip around your seat bolt, they recommend a longer bolt and spacer, which are conveniently included on more expensive versions. It's not the soft, flexible type where the weight of your device causes your arm to dangle as soon as you put it on. This is a strong aluminum bar that will hold the shape you choose.
