Ramcat Grain Single Replacement Blades Review

Shot RamCat heads for years to come. Critters killed in different states and other countries - big, small, they all are affected. It flies easily even in bad weather.

They don't fly at all, like sharp hunting picks. They are everywhere, which is not what you expect from a training head. The first shot at 20 yards was 6 inches deep and the second shot was 8 inches to the left. Thought it was the arrow and tried another arrow with the same horrible result. Shot in a hunting brooch and she was dead. So you're useless.

Blades received and they were not very sharp. For hunting, I prefer blades that can be shaved. After touching them, they were very sharp for a couple of weeks, then I had to touch them up again. Humid environments seem to make the edge disappear quickly. Still buy fixed knives, but they don't like the constant sharpening required to keep them sharp.

After reading the reviews, I didn't have the same experience as others. I originally bought them because shooting at my specific target breaks normal original blades after 2 shots max. After installation I go to shoot and they shoot about 2 feet to the right for 50 yards from the same broadhead with the original blades installed. I bought practice blades. Installation is fairly easy, just remember the set screws are left-hand threads. They flew just like my field tips. The bad thing is that two of the broadheads broke the blades when I took the arrow out of my serrated core target with a straight backwards motion. I can't find a "recommended" destination or warnings for it either on the box or on the Ramcat website. I think I can use them for any goal. Pretty disappointed.
