IMPROVED HANDLING AND PERFORMANCE -- Cross Tuned technology featuring exclusive rebound valving system and advanced compression phase improves overall handling and performance on and off road. MINIMIZES ROUGH RIDE -- Exclusive Progressive Engagement Valving is custom-tuned for each vehicle to help reduce initial impacts at low speeds and minimizes a rough ride. STRONG AND DURABLE -- Features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs & corrosion, double-welded loops at stress areas, 35mm sintered iron piston for enhanced structural integrity and polyvinyl protective boot. HANDLES EXTREME TEMPERATURE CHANGES -- Large twin-tube body filled with all-weather fluid allows for cooler operation, increased vehicle control and ability to withstand internal temperatures of -40 to 248ยฐF. SMOOTH PERFORMANCE -- Polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings help absorb ride harshness while the fluon-banded piston enhances responsiveness to changing road conditions for an overall smoother ride. A Game-Changer for Smooth Driving

As a result of using this product, I found that the bumpy rides I used to hate are now a thing of the past. The Rancho shock absorber delivers excellent shock and vibration control, providing me with a comfortable and smooth driving experience. The installation was effortless and straightforward, and the durability has impressed me so far. The only downside I can think of is the slightly higher price point compared to other shock absorbers on the market. Overall, a great investment for thoseโ€ฆ

Rancho RS5000X RS55265 Shocks

Rancho RS5000X and RS55265 shocks worked fine. The Chevy Silverado 04 originally had Bilstein shocks when I bought the car 17 years ago. I bought a 2020 Silverado and this car had Rancho shocks which I liked. So why not try the Rancho shocks on my '04? What I've noticed is that the Rancho shocks aren't as stiff as the Bilsteins, which I think makes for a slightly more comfortable ride. o4 Silverado with my youngest son as he went through my other 3 sons and I. It will be a sad day when he goes.

  • Shock and Vibration System

The revamped "X " series is shockingly disappointing.

These are the new RS5000 "X" shock absorbers. First, I sent them back to Rancho (Tenneco) as part of their safe-and-sound guarantee (I copied this at the bottom of the review). I haven't received a refund yet, but we'll see if they refund my work (I'm a professional auto technician). I mounted them on a 2005 long cab Silverado 1500 4x4 with a short deck and an all aluminum 5.3. I installed the previous dampers a few years earlier but the then owner didn't want to do the rear ones. I bought aโ€ฆ
