Great price but not justified

Great price for 2 pens but I wrote 3 words and the pens are very worn. They don't flow or coat the paper as desired. I have to go over the word a few times to cover it completely and then it gets thicker than I'd like. I am very disappointed in these pens as they are almost unusable after a few uses. You need a harder tip.

Very handy, many uses

I wanted to vein my cut sheets and gold stamps for Thanksgiving cards and this product worked great. You get a marker pen and a brush pen to help with projects of various sizes, and they're great for quickly finishing the edge of a project for hot stamping or other materials. Even if you have a full-size sticky ink pad like Versamark, it's still very handy to have on hand and you'll find all sorts of uses for it.

  • Like everyone else so far

  • Can't remember

I was so excited to get them. Until now.

I was so happy to get them. So far I've mostly used a Versamark pad for hot stamping, but when working on type I figured an ink brush pen is a must! Unfortunately the brush doesn't hold up well. After a week or so of infrequent use, it's already worn out badly. The round tip ballpoint pen still pulls its weight and I started using it for faux calligraphy (just thickening the strokes by hand). Worn brush tips result in a lot of loose embossing powder.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Reliability

I have used a few embossing pens in the past but decided to give them a try as they have very active customers. I thought the first ones were very, very good. I was happy with both pen tips (brush and ball) and the amount of ink they produced, resulting in a very high quality end product. But after about 15-20 (very average) uses I found the amount of ink went down a bit and I had to stroke my lines twice to get a clean embossing. The bullet tip lasted longer than the brush, but that's probably

I was really concerned that these embossing markers would not produce good ink or good results, but they give AMAZING results. I like the freedom to draw with them rather than being limited to using stamp sets. I paired it with Zing! Embossing Powder and the two make a good duo. Nothing beats these pens - ideal for illustration, setting the mood of cards and creating cute details or embellishments. Tip: If the embossing result is a bit uneven, I sometimes draw with a pen on parts that look…

The ink is of excellent quality, the tips quickly lose their shape.

Great Ranger ink quality. The permanent ink is great for embossing and the powder sticks well. I usually redo my lines twice to apply more ink, which is perhaps why I had better luck with the gluing and powder coverage than some other reviewers. The big disadvantage of these markers is that the tips wear out too quickly and lose their shape. The bullet tip is definitely the "middle" tip that limits my use of the product. If anyone finds such a fine pen, please add a comment to this review! I…
