Tim Holtz stuff is amazing!

I knew Tim Holtz's aged colors because I saw them in the Hobby Lobby. It's easier for me to just order them and have them delivered right to my doorstep.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Null

Not artistic? Fool her with Distress Ink

I have almost no creativity. Using emergency ink makes everything I do "artsy". I mainly use it on Tomoe River paper (hobonichi and cut sheets). Dries quickly and is beautiful. I will say that I prefer these oxides.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Style 90

I have a few dry pads in my batch.

I like Ranger Ink Pad. This is my first time trying mini colors. Three of the pads were a little dry and one was completely dry. Even the lid of the driest pad doesn't hold up. I'm sure they're just as awesome as the original ink pads so I'll be buying them again from the Ranger website instead of Revain. That's why I hesitate. buy some items from Revain.

Pros
  • Ink Pad
Cons
  • Something different

Gorgeous - with or without water

In my sample picture of these kits, the top swatches are dry (applied with an eyeshadow applicator) and the bottom swatches are watered. Brush. To apply it dry, I ran the applicator directly over the pad. For wet application I applied the pad directly to the ceramic plate 4 or 5 times and then picked up the color with a brush dipped in water. The colors are so beautiful! I had no experience with them and they were very easy to use and I found them to be really forgiving. They are very versatile

Pros
  • Arts, Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

glad they put out miniatures

glad they put out miniatures. I'm on a budget so getting all the colors would be quite expensive if I bought the full size. As I don't usually work on large projects I find this gives enough color if I want to use it as a watercolor without wasting ink. I don't actually stamp it because the image doesn't really get sharp, but when I do it's mostly because I don't need a sharp image. All the colors in the emergency line are good, but some require care when diluting and mixing as the primaryโ€ฆ

Pros
  • stamps and ink pads
Cons
  • not reliable
