Perfect addition to our church speaker system

I wanted to find a way to connect computer or iPad audio to our church speaker system. This device plugs into your existing microphone jack, making it very easy to use. It worked great. I look forward to using it for other applications in the future.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Doubt

Very good for connecting a laptop/phone to a speakerphone

I'm an audio engineer and keep this in my kit for connecting my laptop to a console or speakerphone. Works very well with a high quality potentiometer for volume and ground lift. The kit includes a transformer that isolates and protects your device when phantom power is turned on for the microphone input.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Modern

Simple Laptop Audio

Simple, accurate and efficient way to convert laptop audio output to XLR board input. For my purposes, the option Ground Lift or Stereo is not required. Generally speaking, having a laptop plugged into the same circuit as audio gear greatly reduces the potential (ground humor) for noise.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Something different

Tough and handy for any gear bag

Works exactly how you expect it to. Build quality is excellent, but if you're going to buy it, spend a little more and get a stroke switch model. Grounding occurs only when the connected device is connected to AC power. This. notebooks. Cell phones and other battery-powered items are fine. It's not the adapter that's to blame, it's how electricity works in general. Better to have and not need than to be in my situation and wish you a different one.

  • Quality construction
Cons

Good product - headphone accessory

This is my second one, the first one broke down after a year or two, it started to produce at very low levels with a lot of noise/interference across the sound. So far, a few months later, this second one is still working. The volume control is very convenient because you need to adjust the volume quickly and accurately compared to using the volume of your electronic devices. In my application where an electronic device is used to mix audio with different volume levels into a video, the device…

Great for Corporate AV

Great for Corporate AV. Place one in every break room or at the tech table in the general meeting. In my board or direct home patch both work great. Microphone level output, balanced XLR. Overall it's mono, but for a break or small session for background music or a powerpoint video, it's perfect. The volume slider gives me (or the client) local volume control, it's easy to grab to quickly turn the volume up or down on the spot - perfect for a home patch situation on a break when you're out of…

Great little box. Best Headphone Accessory

This unit accepts a stereo line or headphone level signal and has an isolated balanced mono output at mic level. When connected to a laptop, the presenter can control the volume with a convenient knob instead of fumbling with menus and the like. Should have bought this sooner. Like: Sturdy box. The volume control is large and easy to use. The short included cable is the right length for most situations. Sound quality is good enough for MP3 or video playback. Dislikes: The output level is pretty

  • Ideal for a small home

A must have for any musician or sound engineer

Love this little DI for laptops and small devices. The volume control is very useful for presentations where all the sounds or videos are slightly different in volume. The moderator is fairly easy to use as he or she can anticipate volume dips and spikes and adjust the potentiometer as needed. The cable is a decent length to allow for flexible positioning. The volume slider moves smoothly. The only repair I had to make to this box was tightening the nut on the volume knob. Somehow that has…

Excellent PCDI Adapter

I am a professional audio engineer. I work a lot with audio/video and have several of them. I also have other similar items from other manufacturers. Ideal for connecting PCs, iPods, iPads or similar devices to a professional audio system, this adapter does the job perfectly. Rapco Horizon is a good company making quality products right here in the USA. I also have another Rapco model listed below with a Ground Lift derailleur. This is a pretty neat feature. But in my experience, I usually hit…
