Almost Done - Computer Components

Image quality is excellent, hardware seems solid overall. The only downside is that there is no way to turn off the backlight like there is on the official Pi screen. Because of this I can't use it in my application.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Good MIPI display with CTP

Excellent display, panel and touchscreen worked right away with my Raspberry Pi 4b. Wanted a MIPI version, not HDMI, so this was a perfect fit! My only problem was that I connected the cable backwards. All my fault, I should have known better.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • For old ones

Works as advertised

Easy to install, works well, reasonable price. Replaced an HDMI connected 4" display to expose the GPIO pins that the HDMI display draws power from on my rPi-4. Set screen orientation and upload. Since the screen is small (compared to my fingers), touch is more for display than function and is still pretty geeky. (I'm a proud geek!) I managed to fit the screen, SSD card and rPi4 into the case that came with the HDMI display using standoffs, but I'll probably make the open case myself from…

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Fair

Phenomenal, leaves open GPIO ports open and doesn't need drivers

With this one for clippers I wanted to add an accelerometer and couldn't do that with my old screen (which used GPIO ports, no longer this beauty, no drivers , nothing you don't need to get it to work The touchscreen is MUCH more sensitive than other screens I've used.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Something different

Good MIPI display with CTP

Great display, panel and touchscreen worked straight away with my Raspberry Pi 4b. Wanted a MIPI version, not HDMI, so this was a perfect fit! My only problem was that I connected the bend the wrong way round. All my fault, I should have known better.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions

It works with my Pi and doesn't interfere with the wifi!

This is a good touch screen, just the right size for my 3D printer body. I even went and made a custom case to hold the Pi and screen together. Although I wish there were more M2 screws included. I'm using the Octoprint setup screen (OctoDash screen), it's also very easy to set up as it just plugs in and works.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled

Great little touch screen with great picture and resolution

I love this touch screen. It works well and looks great. The picture is much better than my expectations. I'm also satisfied with the resolution of 800x600 pixels for this screen size. Mounting holes for the RPi and a single ribbon cable connection make the build very neat, unlike other displays that require an HDMI cable or adapter. The attachment and placement of the ribbon cable makes it difficult to remove the SD card. , but that's more due to the design of the RPI than the screen.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old
