High Quality Plastic - Paracord

Wheel - Delrin I would say the case is a different nylon plastic. Details are quality. Works well with Paracord 550. Paracord 750 would be too thick for this lock. Easy to use and won't break when pulled like spring cord locks. If the wheel is supplied removed from the housing, thread both ends of the cable through the housing in the correct direction and then insert the wheel into the housing until it fits into the groove. It will not fall apart even under heavy use.

Works great with the ties on my gym shorts

I'm tired of trying to tie my gym shorts and pants tight enough so the weight of my phone in my pocket doesn't get in the way of my run while I run. So glad I have them, now I carry one for every pair of shorts and sweatpants. In a pair of my jogging pants I had to use a piece of standard 4mm paracord to replace the flimsy lace they used for the laces. But since I did, they're now my favorite pair. I definitely recommend them. -------- Just a note. Pass the strings through the body before…

Very helpful. I used them to make an adjustable length.

Very useful. I used them to make some adjustable 550 length strings for camping. I've used them to hang a water bladder on a tree, on a clothesline, or as a tarp or protective tape. They start to slip under a very heavy load (25-30 lbs) but hold up better if you use a knot or plastic stopper. They're very difficult (nearly impossible) to take apart once you've got the two pieces together, so make sure you pick the correct chord length before snapping the wheel into place. All in all it was…

Hold on first. for hunting and fishing

March 2019 Use to tension my lines. About 0.25 inches through the first lugs and a little less than a whole fine inch through the second lugs, which typically hold about 15 to 25 pounds of static force and about 30 to 110 pounds of dynamic load during movement. Skate up to 12 hours 4-6 days a week and as long as they keep their tension. I've put my laces through a lot, an awful lot (only Ironlace can hold up and not break) and so far they haven't snapped or snapped for me. The plastic is really

This is fantastic for a very useful purpose.

I like to wear fairly light pants when lounging around the house. They're made like jogging pants, but in a lighter material. They are not hot and do not tend to bind. However, the sheer lightness and properties of the fabric mean they slip off the waist in no time. This is especially true when you're cradling those pants, like a cell phone (who wouldn't?) or house keys. These pants usually have a drawstring, but tying and untying the bow at the drawstring causes headaches and the bow gets in…

Great for drawstrings under constant tension

Bought these and the bow to compare drawstring shorts. So far I prefer these. No springs or plastic brackets to weaken over time. Note that string tension keeps the locking device in the locked position, which in turn increases string friction proportional to tension. They pull the drawstring of my shorts quite hard. Pulling the string in the other direction ("behind" or the wide end) releases them easily. They can be inferior to spring/bow models if the string isn't under constant tension…

Amazing closing force, don't expect disassembly

Good: I made a pantsuit with elastic and paracord and used them as cord locks on the paracord cord. Works as well as my tactical belt against all bending and twisting pressures from light to heavy. I especially liked these because I wanted the drawstring to be on the inside of the pants where it wouldn't be visible. This type of lock is quite thin and lies flat on the pants so it's not uncomfortable, and it's non-metallic so it doesn't get hot even on a hot summer day. Not very good: Once…
