🚐 Ravensburger VW Campervan Jigsaw Puzzle Review

This classic VW bus was fun and not too difficult to build. Others have said that some parts don't stay in place, but I haven't had such an issue. This is a puzzle, not a toy to play with. Love the colors and style and looks great with some other 3D puzzles on the shelf.

My 7 year old has been busy working on patience and fine motor skills. Good family activity. Glad to have things like this to keep him busy as we are all practicing social distancing due to COVID-19. The puzzle was solid and easy to put together. It may seem like it won't stay in place at first, but will get stronger as it builds up.

thought it would be perfect for my youngest and when he went to pick it up we found that some pieces were broken. Instead of a bladder connector, it has a ledge. The round tip is in the part you want to connect. Well, you can't connect a piece to a broken piece. I told him we'll try to find someone else. After Christmas.

The children and I took turns putting the pieces of the puzzle together. They're numbered, so it's pretty easy. Once assembled it holds up well for demonstration purposes but isn't strong enough to play with. After all, it's a mystery. I could maybe tape it somehow because I want to display it in my office. All in all a fun Saturday afternoon project. Would love to see more of these 3D puzzles!

2.5 stars. I don't think I didn't even have $16 in entertainment value. Took me about an hour to assemble after having the pleasure of sorting through all the numbered parts. (I suggest using cupcake liners and sorting by 10, 20, etc.) The puzzle pieces hold together fairly well, but nothing really "clicks" or adheres securely to the frame. The front bumper keeps falling off too. I put it on a high shelf and it looks fine as long as nobody touches it.

I really like the look of this puzzle. And I've worked with some Ravensburger 3D puzzles and I love their sturdy plastic pieces. BUT I was never able to install the roof on this van because when I tried the pieces just wouldn't hold together. At some point I gave in and put the VW on a high shelf so that you couldn't see that it didn't have a roof. But that's why I couldn't put the surfboard on it.
