Enhanced Visibility: Raymarine i70s 4-Inch Color Display for Instruments Review

This is a fantastic screen that replaces my other two screens. what else can i say 1 screen does the job 2. what hurts you about it?

I installed it in the cabin of our sailboat so I could monitor wind and depth without having to go to the remote. This is a very versatile tool that can be configured to show all the data circulating on your network. It can do almost everything an MFD chartplotter can, except it has no chart and no autopilot controls. But it can display AIS targets, speed, depth, apparent wind, true wind, gust peaks, boat speed, engine parameters, etc. (if your network has this data).

Not sure how much I would like them as I liked the I70. Raymarine/Flir did a great job with this update. It's the same interface you're used to, but in a new, sleek version. It comes with a black or silver frame, depending on what you like (or which MFD you have). For example if you have the e gen1 series you will have a silver border and if you have the new e series you will have a black border. Beautiful bright screen. Like all new Raymarine equipment, it looks stylish. But this unit, like ALL new Raymarine MFDs, doesn't broadcast as much NMEA PGN as you might think. In particular, this is the temperature of the exhaust gases. Essential to managing the performance and health of a diesel engine.
