Description of Razorri Wood Carving Sharpening Stone: Refining Precision for Woodworking Masterpieces

🔪For Curved Blades: With multiple grooves, this innovative sharpening stone allows you to sharpen and polish a variety of round, curved, or triangular chisels, gouges, knives, and other small hand tools. 🔪Choose Your Grit: Our wood carving kit comes with 2 double-sided stones, one grooved and one flat. The 400 grit stone is best for sharpening while the 1000 grit stone is used for polishing. 🔪User Friendly: No need for expensive honing oils, simply soak the stones in water for 10-15 minutes and start sharpening your blades. We include a quickstart guide in the user manual to help get you started!. 🔪Dual Sided: Not only can you sharpen your speciality wood carving knives and tools, you can also flip the stones over to use the flat side for sharpening kitchen knives, scissors, or other normal straight blades with just one stone!. 🔪Easy Maintenance: Simply wipe with a dry cloth and let the sharpening stone air dry before packing away. Leaving mousitre on the stone is harmful for the lifespan of the stone and the bamboo base.

Fits full size woodcarving tools and lathes

I have a lot of chisels and turning tools. The full size ones work well with this set. Smaller ones, such as those used for cutting and engraving lino, are not suitable for the inside curve because the shapes in the set have too large a radius. But that's still a solid value that can be used to bring turning tools to the trailing edge a bit faster and more accurately.

This set has multiple grooves with different curved surfaces to suit different tools. When I ordered them I assumed some of the curved shapes wouldn't work, but when I tried these stones all my tools worked perfectly. I can flip stones to sharpen straight knives, I use my regular flat stones for this. Before I got these stones I used silicon carbide sandpaper wrapped around wooden…

Not a perfect solution I naively thought it was

I thought this would be the perfect solution for sharpening carving tools. Unfortunately, it's anything but easy. As far as I can tell at this point, all notch and V-chisel chamfering work is done on a flat stone, and that stone isn't very useful for inside curves which, like the back of the chisel, are basically after the not ground at all in the first preparation. If you sharpen the inside of your notches like they are shown in the picture, it will not end well. There must be no ground…
