Enhanced Reception with RCA ANT1400M Multi-Directional Digital Flat Passive HDTV Antenna (White) Review

I bought this antenna based on other people's reviews. Now I can receive a signal from all transmitters in my area (17 channels). For best results, try the antenna in multiple places and rescan each time you move it until you get the maximum number of channels. I am very happy with it. We live in the country but 4 towers are within 25 miles. I am planning to buy the same antenna for another TV.

I bought this RCA antenna without thinking that it could be very good for such a small price and weird form factor, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's thin and light, with a single coaxial cable that you connect to your digital TV and you're done in minutes. A quick rescan for new channels and I found 15 more channels and the reception was excellent. I highly recommend this antenna.

The device is easy to place around a flat screen due to its relatively small footprint. At first I thought this antenna was another waste of money as when hooked up to a flat screen TV it wouldn't pick up any local digital channels at all (worse than cheap bunny ears); HOWEVER, connected to another flat screen TV in another room of the house, it tuned in to stations that no other antenna I've tried could consistently pick up.

Before I could connect an antenna to my home TV; My son borrowed it for his workplace - a restaurant. We are LSU Tiger fans. The restaurant installed a TV so guests could watch the game while they ate. It was a Saturday, the cable men were away for several days, so we hooked up a flat antenna. Poof TV went from snow to crystal clear! It took a minute to connect. It's out of sight. It was a great purchase.

We only get 5-6 channels, but that's enough at the same time. Of the channels we receive, three are from Public Television Southern Oregon: 1, 2, and 3. Most of what we watched when paying for DirecTV (which has over 100 channels) was the only local PBS channel . Now we get more of what we love! We got it on sale so we were happy. We doubt this most frugal version is the best. I would pay for one of the next two - if I need to buy another one. Or an antenna on the roof (?)

I live in Glendale, California and there's a big mountain between me and the transmitters at Mount Wilson. I bought this cheap omnidirectional antenna because I wasn't sure if an indoor antenna would work for me. I brought this spare antenna after giving the Terk antenna to my mother. Being a passive (no power supply) antenna, I wasn't expecting it to pick up almost 40 channels (New York, over 5 miles from cell tower, top floor of 6 story building) like Turk.
