I use it in reverse as we have two sets that use coax on the back of the TV (cable TV plus our old Atari). Attached one end to the back of the TV with a 2" cable and left the double (splitter) end in front so we could switch Atari and cables at will. Works normally and does not affect the signal quality of HD channels. What are you risking for $3? Unimportant. Try it and see if it works for you.

This product works like a charm. Since it is truly "2-WAY", it can be used to either 1) SPLIT the signal, or 2) connect 2 signals (e.g. if you want to use 2 external antennas at the same time). It's not my area of expertise, but I definitely work better than the old one I had. There seems to be much less interference. There is a small screw there that you can attach the ground wire to if you haven't already grounded the wire elsewhere. I think the screw that came with it was a 1/2 inch screw. So if you're hanging them on drywall or indoors, make sure you use a larger screw and make sure there's a stud on the back. you will hang it.
