Reading Minimalist Bedside Bookshelf Display Review

Light works quite well. It looks good. Very happy with them now that they are finished. My big complaint is that the screws they give you to install are very crappy. The head of one of them just snapped off, leaving a screw partially buried in the headboard of the bed. Another fell off after less than five turns of the screwdriver. I had to put in two of my own screws and it was easy to install afterwards. Nothing bad, just annoying.

There are no questions about the lamp itself, only the installation. Judging by the curved neck, it really needs to be fixed to a table or wall or it'll keep tipping over. I wanted to avoid drilling holes in the wall so read other customers advice on using heavy duty Velcro/3M tape. It didn't work because the back is essentially open, just a small clip to attach (not a solid piece) so there was nothing to stick the velcro to. Reliable bedside reading light. Installation can be difficult for some, but if you have a basic knowledge of how to hang pictures with wall anchors, for example, you can do it. The neck is flexible, holds its position and is long enough to be really useful. The switches have a positive engagement. Great reading lamp. And a great price for what I got. to read while lying down. I reach out and grab the lamp head to adjust it to shine on my book and readjust it when I change my reclined position. Bright enough, but not too bright if you don't. I'm not looking directly at the lightbulb. It works perfectly for me. I replaced the two mounting screws with better quality screws as the screws looked very flimsy/cheap. This bedside lamp is perfect for me. Excellent purchase.

I tested the lamp when it arrived. Another lamp of mine burned out after several years of use and was beyond repair. Most of my home lights have been replaced with LEDs. After checking out what bedtime reading lights were available, I was concerned about some of the prices. I found some cheaper ones and the reviews weren't great. Last update 04/12/2019 - although it looked good it died after only 2 months of use. everything was normal then the light was dimmed by about 80%? then a few days later the switch had a "short circuit" problem.
