Good product - Chassis

Great buy. I got these for my 2003 f250 4x4 and it took about an hour to install using a simple jack and stands. My only complaint is that the 25mm nuts for the U-bolts had to be ground down a bit to fit the socket, I'm not sure why. And there were no torque specifications for screws over 20mm. But otherwise it was a great product.

perfect for adding a rake to your heavy duty truck

Perfect for adding a rake to your truck, be it for my purpose of unbalancing the truck or for towing stability of yours to increase f250. This premade lifting block is perfect. Note to those buying this is a tapered block. You will need this if you have a wheelbase of 142 inches or less. If your wheelbase is longer you will need a flat block and using one can cause transmission vibration.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from the testers
Cons
  • There are nuances

Consider the taper when raising the tail.

Block quality is as expected but the level is a bit misleading. The block has a 4" to 3" taper. So your stroke is only about 1" if you are replacing a 2" block, not a 2" block. The block got the rake back to my truck, but not as much as the stock. If I were to do it again, I would buy a 5" block to match my 2" level to bring the truck back into inventory. The block appears to be of good quality but not as much lift as I was expecting.

Perfect for spares

They fit perfectly. Some reviewers say you should shorten the U-arms, but don't. Put a jack under the rear bumper and jack up the side where you do it, there's plenty of room to work underneath. Tires don't need to be removed either. Using a 24mm impact wrench, remove the old U-bolts. Take out the old blocks, put the new ones in the same way as the old ones, along with the new U-bolts. Lower the jack and repeat the process. Now I see that when there is a lot of rust to deal with, it takesโ€ฆ

Quality Control Issue - Customer No Service

I bought these for my 2009 Ford F-250 4x4. The blocks themselves are fine and appear to be of good quality. However, after putting nuts on the U-bolts and hand tightening them, I could not tighten them any further on the threads. They have not been exceeded. I've tried ratchets, crowbars and impact wrenches to no avail. I still don't know what is causing the problem. I called ReadyLift twice, stayed on the line and was never able to speak to a live person. I left a message every time I calledโ€ฆ

Fast delivery and very high quality set.

I don't usually like blocks and U-bolts but this set really impressed me. I ordered it on Thursday and received it on Saturday. However, on a memorable weekend. The packaging is phenomenal. Not cheap Chinese. These are quality items. Just as good if not better than OEM. I ordered this kit for the 2002 excursion with a diesel engine. I installed V-Code F350 springs up front, so the rear end sags about 2 inches. I noticed that I have factory 2" units and the F350 and F250 cartridges use factoryโ€ฆ

I bought the wrong part

I start by saying "I have the wrong part". Now for the rest of my review. I have a 2008 Ford F250 4x4 Crew Cab with short bed. I bought these along with the ReadyLift Front End Alignment Kit. You can buy two types of blocks for these trucks: tapered and non-tapered (flat). Should have bought the flat ones. This is where my complaint comes in. I called ReadyLift (quickly picked up the phone) and informed them that these blocks did not match the ones I had taken out. I have been assured severalโ€ฆ
