I bought the wrong part

I start by saying "I have the wrong part". Now for the rest of my review. I have a 2008 Ford F250 4x4 Crew Cab with short bed. I bought these along with the ReadyLift Front End Alignment Kit. You can buy two types of blocks for these trucks: tapered and non-tapered (flat). Should have bought the flat ones. This is where my complaint comes in. I called ReadyLift (quickly picked up the phone) and informed them that these blocks did not match the ones I had taken out. I have been assured several times that no one has complained about problems with these blocks. If there is a problem, purchasing a composite drive shaft retainer gasket can solve it. I said I'd rather just buy the right part, but the tech insisted I wouldn't have a problem and that ReadyLift had installed thousands of them and never had a problem. Well, exactly what I expected happened. Every time I pull away, the truck jerks slightly and then drives off. People say that this is exactly the kind of problem that can arise if you use the wrong blocks. It's too late, the blocks are set and nobody takes them back. Lesson learned. I need to install a retainer gasket so hopefully this will go away. The rest of the parts are well made and look great. Just don't trust ReadyLift to tell you the truth when in doubt. I deduct two points for the poor advice and dismissive tone of the technicians who helped me. Although the phone was answered quickly.
