Haven't washed it yet so can't comment on that. But the carpet is nice and very soft on the feet. I also have two dogs, a golden retriever and a labrador, and my old carpet slipped when they walked in. Just not this one! It is very grippy and stays in place on its own. :)

I was afraid to order this rug because I thought it might look cheap. That is beautiful. The colors are vibrant and it sits flat and stays in place, which is important in the kitchen. I had to wash it but it turned out great. I also like that the "cushion" is part of the mat so it doesn't crawl out. This rug is a great buy at half the price of other popular brands that are also washable. I will buy more.

I like the idea of this rug. I washed it about a week after receiving it because of a lot of rain and dirty shoes. While it's been a fun time loading it in and out of cars, it's definitely doable and washes up great. Unfortunately I saw today that the strapping was starting to come loose on one of the long sides, not even on the corner. Just happens to be about a third of the way. Not a very good start.

I put it in the washing machine after just a few weeks because my son spilled mustard on it. It's too thick causing my car to spill dirty water all over the floor! First the bad. While the material of the rug is theoretically machine washable, unless you buy a SMALL version of the rug it will not fit in your washing machine. Even a 5x7 rug won't fit in an ordinary washing machine, even if it's big. It's too thick and hard. The Ruggables brand allows you to remove the top of the mat and it washes out easily. Well I think this rug definitely stands out and looks good but it is very bulky. I took a chance and ordered it, it didn't come in a box but in plain gray packaging.
