Brighten up your home in an instant

This is a great product. The inner cone and rim of my old downlights were discolored and had to be replaced after the ceiling was painted and this product gives my home a brighter, more elegant glow. They match my old ones exactly, but look chromed. The old ones fall out and the new ones snap into place. Installation less than 5 minutes. I also ordered 6 inch. Incredibly low price. I love this product! By the way, they are also equipped with a pad for wet spots.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

Looks great in my 4 " Halo Case!

I installed this in my new design "H99 4" aluminum in-ceiling light box, model # H99ICAT. I'm usually the type of person who only buys OEM (the Halo brand in this case). But honestly, they are so expensive! So much so that I decided it was worth a try and just ordered a box of 6. You look great! I had some trouble getting them flush to the ceiling initially (barely 1/16″, I'm a perfectionist), but found that bending the metal clips inward caused them to sit a little flush when installed. A…

They get stuck in the Juno Jar and cannot be removed.

The spring flanges that hold these pads in place are poorly designed and are 100% stuck in the can and cannot be removed without destroying the pad. The reflector isn't that good either. the same quality as the Juno finish and gives these Torchstar finishes significantly more highlights. They are almost blinding and the extra glare draws your attention straight to the light source as you enter the room, while Juno lamps are very thin and create a more comfortable atmosphere. I'm returning them…

If you find something better, please do so and let me know.

I've been looking for a decent package at a reasonable price for days if not weeks! These slats don't get much better than these! Perfect fit at an incredible price! I have a new Halo design, 4 inch H99 IC package. And these fins are snug and sit perfectly in place. I use eco-friendly PAR 20 LED bulbs from Home Depot. And the pad is very close and snug to the bulb itself. You'll probably have to lift the fairing down to remove/replace the bulb, but in my application that's fine. The finish is…

Wow! Perfect fit and huge savings! 👍

Perfect fit for my Halo 4" New Construction IC downlights from a big store. I was skeptical but what a surprise! They fit perfectly and although they are a little being shorter than the Halo Baffles they actually taper to compensate for this so they still have a nice finished look that a standard LED bulb (PAR 20) fits nicely in. In fact they are actually a bit better because they are metal and have a foam ring to seal the drywall which the Hal9 brand doesn't have. Also the Halo version in the…

Unrelated to brand name

They are approximately 3/8-1/2 inches shorter than brand name. The result is a huge gap between the headlight and fairing. Looks terrible. The hole for the spring, it shouldn't be, it also juts out a lot as the piece is much shorter than the original, it's stamped sheet metal which is strong but will rust on the outside. throw them away The whole idea of finishing is to make the light look good and they have the opposite effect. It cost me money that I could have spent on a house brand but I…

Good value for money - BEWARE OF THE CANALS!

I ordered this liner for Hyperikon 4" junction boxes. They were for the second project I was involved with. The first required white deflectors I believe also from Torchstar the difference is that instead of the white deflectors they use bright steel reflectors I thought the design would be identical but it's not really I have no problems with this finish just pop it in the pins dig in the recessed glass and practically don't come out once installed.I noticed this when I put one in to compare…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are deficiencies

Nothing like the brand name

They are about 3/8" to 1/2" shorter than this leads to a huge gap between headlight and fairing. It looks horrible. It also has a hole for a spring clip that shouldn't be there. much shorter than the brand name. It's made of stamped sheet metal that's strong but rusty on the outside. I will throw them away. The whole idea of finishing is to make the light look good and they do the opposite. Effect. It cost me money that I could have spent on a signature brand but I couldn't find it in my area…

Escutcheon was ordered for Hyperikon 4" backbox. You were for a second project I did.The first required white reflectors which I believe were also from Torchstar the difference was the bright steel reflectors not the white reflectors.I thought the design would be identical but it is not really.with this pad.EXCEPT FOR THE PINS.These pins serve to hold the pad in place, which they do.But if you just push them in, the pins dig into the recessed glass and practically refuse to come out after…
