I am disappointed because I have ordered them before but the quality of the product has changed. The bottom of the battery is not flat or smooth (the battery has an outer ring and a separate center, see photo) and phones do not recognize that batteries have been inserted. The message "Insert batteries" appears. My old batteries are perfectly flat and dead and when I put them back in the phones they recognize it as inserted and try to charge.

Don't waste your time and money, although these batteries are marked with the same plastic label, they are clearly not the same batteries. None of the six purchased (displayed loaded) worked in our Panasonic rechargeable cordless phones. When placed in the phones there was no sound of the phone turning on and when placed back in the charging cradle the screen simply said 'Insert battery' instead of 'Charging' or full charge with time of day displayed when both were of these 'spare parts' " were

I have happily replaced the old batteries in my phones with these new ones. Of the 8 batteries in the package, 4 were 100% successful. My phones didn't even recognize them and said "Please insert battery". They won't charge at all. The other 4 batteries on my phones recognized these batteries but did not charge. The charging lights on the phones didn't even come on. I left them in my phones and charged overnight. Nothing yet. I had to send them back. piss off!

I almost threw my Panasonic cordless phones away until I read a review that said the regular AA rechargeable batteries you buy don't always work properly in cordless phones. These are average AAA batteries and can be used anywhere AAA is needed. However, if your device has flat contacts, these batteries may not work.
