Shine and chrome check out my turntable

No lying I don't know if this affects my sound quality as my turntable sits on a granite countertop on top of a solid Baltic birch cabinet which doesn't transmit much anyway though from vibrations. He looks really great sitting and spinning on the platter. It's heavy, shiny, chrome, and simple, and it suits my aesthetic.

Broken box for turntable and accessories

Seems like a good weight but it is stored in such a box which would be fine but was sent in a bubble envelope. For real? A little disappointed with the packaging. There's nothing better than a broken box to put next to my new turntable. It might be a little finicky, but when you try to put it in a special box, you might think you want it to get there safe and sound.

466 grams, not 504 good for home audio

Ad says 504 grams, both my scales read 468 grams. The box it came in fell apart on the way. Nice mirror finish and overall good quality. The elastic at the bottom is very sticky and will hold the label in place. Haven't decided yet if I'm coming back for false advertising. I decided to keep it for myself, no problem with a return. Good thing it fits under the dust cover of thin Technics turntables. My other is 50 grams lighter and much larger. See photos.

Hit the numbers: the heaviest record weight at an affordable price.

As far as I can see this is the heaviest of all stabilizers advertised at Revain. I feel okay (even happy) with the weight because I have a direct drive turntable. If you have a belt drive turntable and the platter isn't already heavy, you should think twice about that (or any other) weight. An added bonus is that this is (in my opinion) the most stylish stabilizer on the market. here: chrome only, heavy, no logo.

Weight NOT 504 grams. BUT . Don't let that stop you from owning it!

The record weight of this LP as of September 2021 is 466 grams, not 504 grams as advertised. But don't let that put you off, it's a great thing. It's the right weight, not too heavy and not too light, and there's plenty of room for a Technics SL-1200 MkII desk with the dust cover down. My other weight records were 664g and 311g. At 664g, I was concerned about thrust bearing wear, but 311g was too light for me. That weight of 466 grams feels really good in the hand, just right. It is very well…

Good weight - great price!

This record weight is excellent value for money. Admittedly, I bought mine for the aesthetics rather than the functionality, but it looks great and feels high quality. The box it comes in is a nice bonus and mine arrived in great condition. Be careful what turntables you use it on - at 504 grams I'd say it's a little above average. You should be fine using this on any quality table (particularly good vintage direct drive models like the Technics SL-1200 which are well constructed for their…

Nice, wide, here's a record profile weight

Totally worth the money but the decorative storage box it came in is a joke, the box was already broken on mine! No, it's important. The weight is never removed from the turntable platter.

Cardboard breaks best in turntables

Seems to be a good weight but it is kept in a box like this which would have been fine but it came in bubble wrap. For real? A little disappointed with the packaging. There's nothing better than a broken box to put next to my new turntable. It might be a little finicky, but when you try to put it in a special box, you might think you want it to get there safe and sound.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Easily repairable
