Like the originals

Replacement for a pair of Rector Fatboy sneakers from the 1990's. Like the originals, these pads have neoprene Velcro straps so you can put them on without switching from foot to foot. Time will tell if they hold up like the originals (I only replace the originals because I lost them).

They slow down after my 4th vert ramp session

Amazing and comfortable knee pads.! My favorite for many years. but the quality of the plastic is not the same. Maybe I'm wrong. After the fourth use on a turntable they broke :( I'm very frustrated because I can't fix it. And nowadays there are no spare bearings anywhere.

They were initially great for about 4 months and then covered.

I am 47 years old and ordering for the second time. At first they were great for about 4 months, then the lid cracked. For the second time in the second set. Too bad I really like the fit but I keep breaking caps. Fix that and you have a customer for life. At this point I think I should try another brand.

Update description with JUNIOR information to avoid wasting other customer's time

Please note these are LARGE KIDS KNEE PADS, NOT LARGE FOR ADULT SIZE ! It's so frustrating that I can't find big adult rector pads for fat people. I have been wearing this brand for 8 years and I want to replace it with the same product. Revain, update your description with JUNIOR information so you don't waste other customers' time!

Never wash and everything will be fine

I used them for roller derby. They were amazing for the first week or two. They tended to slide off my foot but pulled up fairly easily. I washed them like I always wash my pads/gear and all the foam inserts fell apart. So now they are useless. I've been playing for 5 years now and I've never seen a set of pads fall apart like this. It's a shame because the full price for them is around $70.

Simply the best: Protectors

I can't even put into words how much I love Rector's Fatboy knee pads. I am an avid roller derby player and these rubbers suit my feet best. Not an easy task for a tall lady with big legs. The inner padding is specifically shaped for the anatomy of the knee (rather than the flat padding found on most derby knee pads) and falling is akin to falling into a bunch of kittens. .
