I can't even put into words how much I love Rector's Fatboy knee pads. I am an avid roller derby player and these rubbers suit my feet best. Not an easy task for a tall lady with big legs. The inner padding is specifically shaped for the anatomy of the knee (rather than the flat padding found on most derby knee pads) and falling is akin to falling into a bunch of kittens. . So soft and comfortable. Because the knee pad fits snugly around the knee, these knee pads don't go anywhere - the right size lining doesn't slide down. Despite heavy use, these pads usually last me most of the season, which I can't say about any other brand I've tried. Because these pads are slightly longer (both above and below the knee) than most derby pads, they provide additional protection against accidental contact between the skates and the shin. shop recently stopped selling them) and if Revain/Rector doesn't eventually stop selling them I'll probably be wearing that brand for the rest of my Derby career. Whenever people ask for knee pad recommendations (because they don't like them), the first thing I do is pull them out of my bag and offer them a try. great product
