A good thing. - Equipment for soldering and soldering

Good flux, I tried liquid, this one is much better. and no unpleasant smell. stays where you put it, great for tiny 30 gauge wire.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Negative is available

Excellent quality flux. Rinses off easily and stays in place while working

Quality flux. Goes easy and stays in place. I used it to make stained glass and was very happy to have a flux that I didn't have to constantly reapply. Creates a smooth solder line. I will recommend and buy again. It's also easy to wash off with soap, no flux remover required.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Ideal for stained glass

I've been making stained glass windows for about a year and use liquid flux all the time. I chose this flux paste because I wanted the flux to stay where I applied it rather than clumping or evaporating. Of course liquids will work, but this paste will be my first choice for both assembly and decorative soldering. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Absolutely stunning!
Cons

Makes difficult soldering jobs easier

I needed to replace a dead cell in a battery pack and regular rosin based solder wouldn't hold. A friend told me about this flux. A simple touch of each pad made the job quick and easy. This allowed me to pre-tin each surface and then bond with little or no additional surface heating. Tip: Use the chisel tip at 800 degrees for quick heat transfer. Note: This is not intended for use with circuit boards.

  • Weight

no other flux for swivel waste fittings

The secret of fogging copper fittings. HUSH-HUSH ! So I can't say how or when or where to apply or how much to apply, but if you need to flux something. (I think I can say nokorode without breaking my arm or finger) nocorode is the way to go. only one . another just doesn't happen when "doing the right thing the first time".

Pros
  • Cleans and fluxes in one operation, saves time and money
Cons
  • Tape

Great for stained glass

I've been making stained glass for about a year and have been using a liquid flux the entire time. I chose this flux paste because I wanted the flux to stay where I applied it rather than clumping or evaporating. Pros
  • Special oil base protects solder joint from corrosion
Cons
  • So far so good

Makes soldering easier in difficult conditions

I needed to replace a dead cell in a battery pack and normal rosin based solder wouldn't stick.

Pros
  • Reduces surface tension when heated and allows solder to flow easily and evenly into the joint
Cons
  • unreliable

Selling OLD Stock: Solder Flux

I have been doing plumbing for 16 years. This seller sold me an old supply of flux that was literally thrown in the trash the first time I used it. This particular product from the big department stores is absolutely fantastic, but this batch ordered online took me a full day to install a hot water tank and less than a day to install a water heater. This flux burned instantly, did not absorb solder, was odd in color and consistency. When applied it almost repelled the solder. The day after I…

Pros
  • Non-aggressive formula ideal for use on copper and brass fittings
Cons
  • Small parts
