Works great. The rubber sticks out more than the side magnets. Align it, click on it. It sticks and presses the rubber against the hole. It didn't pop out like other reviews said. The magnets are strong enough for me.

The device is a little tricky to use but when positioned correctly does an excellent job of preventing a home heating oil tank from leaking until it can be replaced. The only downside is that if oil gets on the foam gasket and magnet, the adhesive will corrode and the foam will separate from the magnet, making it difficult to use. total lifesaver!

My homemade oil tanks are now 60 years old and a small persistent leak has occurred after a recent shipment of oil. I ordered this magnetic patch and after finding the hole I cleaned the area to create a clean surface to stick on.
