Worked on my tank.

Works great. The rubber sticks out more than the side magnets. Align it, click on it. It sticks and presses the rubber against the hole. It didn't pop out like other reviews said. The magnets are strong enough for me.

Great temporary solution to a leaking oil tank

The device is a little tricky to use but when positioned correctly does an excellent job of preventing a home heating oil tank from leaking until it can be replaced. The only downside is that if oil gets on the foam gasket and magnet, the adhesive will corrode and the foam will separate from the magnet, making it difficult to use. total lifesaver!

So far, so good! in paint thinners and thinners

My homemade oil tanks are now 60 years old and a small persistent leak has occurred after a recent shipment of oil. I ordered this magnetic patch and after finding the hole I cleaned the area to create a clean surface to stick on. I placed the foam around the center of the hole and pressed lightly to ensure the magnets were firmly on the tank surface. I'll update in more detail later, but so far not a single drop in an hour.

  • Confident

Sorry, I didn't listen to the reviews on this product. The premise of the product is great, the actual design is wrong. I quickly formulated a do-it-yourself solution by going to Home Depot with a similar concept after this article arrived. (I would add that it is cheaper and more efficient.) The magnets on this product are very weak. The product will adhere to the metal surface of the tank but not strong enough to compress the foam rubber seal. You'll need to help the magnets and push theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers

  • So-so

A must for every homeowner.

If you're buying a home or your kid is buying a home, this is the $20 insurance policy every homeowner should have in their toolbox. My buddy woke up one morning to the smell of diesel/oil smoke in his house and called the oil company. Meanwhile, he placed 5-gallon buckets under a leak in his oil tank to catch a spray of fuel. A mechanic from an oil company came and put one of them outside the tank where the leak was and stopped him immediately. The guy said that not only would this stop theโ€ฆ
