You have one job in Pipe Fittings

The P-trap has one function: to retain water and dirt. This device just isn't up to the task. Tolerances are tight and when used as an AC condensate drain line for the intended application will cause little leakage. Luckily, about a gallon of water accumulated in my sump and spilled throughout the day, and my float switch cut power as intended (note: another simple detail that gets the job done). We hope others are reading this and not just spending their money, but installing a cheap part that

. I only used a few of these but this was perfect for what was needed. The clear tube lets you see when your condensate line needs cleaning (sooner rather than later or you risk a major clog). Keep in mind that the connections between the clear hose and the white opaque parts are not watertight, at least not in the piece I received. I had to use PVC glue as other reviewers kindly recommended.

Pros
  • Efficiently removes condensate in various HVAC systems

Does the Job - Pipes, Fittings & Accessories

I have found that my air conditioning installers have not adjusted the secondary drain to drain into the drain pan. Primary condensate flows directly into the drain under the sink. When it is clogged, the water can't leave the bottom of the AC chamber and eventually the ceiling will leak when the water finds the small hole. Along with an x threaded FIP connector and a piece of tubing, I installed this device to ensure the secondary line was not leaking. into the pan, but avoid blowing cold air…

Reliable parapet air routing and water sealing.

Over a year ago we installed two of these arresters on our 5 ton rooftop air conditioner. Works as expected, controls air and water flow with air conditioning running 24/7 from late March until late at night. September is here in deep south Texas. Works very well as we are moving to summer 2020. Works well/correct installation means I can almost forget about the air conditioning except for regular maintenance. No more water drips into the house below. (Very) easy to clean - 20 minutes of work…

Easy and convenient adjustment of cleaning fixtures

I saw this while looking for traps to replace a clogged trap that was correctly set up but didn't have access to cleaning or maintenance. Consequently, I used a 5 gallon condensate bucket until I had everything I needed to replace it. Not that I would recommend it, but it worked in a pinch and it gave me a new estimate of how much moisture a humidifier or condenser or whatever is taking out of the air every 24 hours. It's been very humid in here the past few days, and I've emptied a bucket of…
