Works great, easy to install and set up

I paired it with a basic door/window sensor. Now my alarm system will alert me if my drain pump fails before it overflows. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Good switch.: Filtering under sink and countertop

Had to replace old switch as squirrels had an appetite for plastic coated copper wire. Installed and tested the switch in about an hour. The switch worked as intended.

Foolproof installation in kitchen and bathroom fixtures

There was a lot of wiring so I just cut off the excess before using the nuts to connect to the existing wiring. It took a little more effort to attach it to the drain pan than I expected, but that also means it's not easy to move.

  • Price

  • Useless features

This is a very reliable way to protect your ceilings.

is a very reliable way to protect your ceilings, they will turn off the outdoor unit until you fix the drain, if you are unfamiliar with the wiring, put the switch in series with the "R" wire to the thermostat. This is less complicated than the "Y" cable and gives the same end result.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Volume

Great little switch to install on our AC secondary sump in case the condensate drain is clogged. It is connected to the relay and turns off the air conditioner. I want the length of the float rod to touch the bottom of the pot, you want a minimum amount of water there in case it rises. This little device prevents water from overflowing and destroying our ceiling and wall.

Last summer I had to repair the ceiling and wall due to a clogged condensate pan. To prevent this from happening again, I installed a condensate pan float switch. The switch is well made and very easy to assemble. It attaches to the pan and acts as a switch on the red (Rc) or yellow (supercharger) wire of the thermostat. Installation takes less than 10 minutes - you will need a nut (wire nut) for 18 gauge wire. At the same time I installed a Rectoseal SG1 condensate tray overflow detector. The…

It works best as a final solution

I originally thought of using this switch as a first line of defense. It won't work, so it can only add drainage holes. Basically, there are flaws in American HVAC design in the secondary drain pan. The sump is shallow, meaning any meaningful water detection and drainage requires "enough" depth. To make matters worse, this float breaks the chain by moving half an inch, meaning the best way to set the switch would involve touching the bottom of the pan. The clamp that comes with it sets the…
