Very sturdy door lock

I searched long and hard before buying one to replace my old weakly cracked RV door lock that keeps my door open in the summer and keeps the wind out of the to slam the door. This fits perfectly in my RV's mounting holes, installs quickly and easily, and is much stronger than the old plastic. I am very happy that I decided to make this purchase. I believe this is the last time I will have to replace this in my RV as it is built to last. Thanks very much!

Great replacement part for our Boy Scout trailer

Replaced door latches on a Doolittle Bullitt Series 7' X 14' Cargo Trailer. Was able to use the exact holes on the old latches and with a little adjustment to the shape the latches worked like a dream. The old bars worked fine, but when they were newer they didn't fade as much in the sun. The plastic seemed to have been weakened by the weather and the sun. The new metal parts hold up much better in strong winds and when the scout grabs the door to close it without first unlocking it.

Very short, only for full 180 degree doors

On my tool trailer front door the angle is not wide enough to latch. The door must rotate 180 degrees to lock. If you don't have a full turn I don't see how this would work even remotely. See photo. As for my barn doors on the back, it's pretty much the same. My door hits the wheel arches before it's close enough to the latch. They are about 6 inches short. And I've never seen such short curls. That's very disappointing. I think I'll buy plastic as those are the only metals I've seen.

Quality and value for money

Good quality for the price; better than the ones in the trailer. No defects and easy installation. It's nice to see that we can still get quality materials at a reasonable price. I would buy again. I used this product to replace a cheap plastic door latch that broke on my cargo trailer. The holes lined up perfectly with the stock door latch holder and bracket. Recently installed so can't yet comment on how well it's holding up to the weather and other elements. But the new metal bracket andโ€ฆ

Not an exact replacement but will work

I ordered these thinking they were stainless steel and would match the original type. I bought 2, I figured if one breaks the second will soon. This one I used was steel, maybe galvanized, but it couldn't be modified to work like the original, it was well made, but it didn't have to work with a bend in the moving part, and I could' for that it was too thick metal and shaped in such a way that it couldn't be bent the way I wanted. s9 I installed it on the side, it worked until the wind blew, itโ€ฆ

There are two lengths - this is long.

Chrome plated steel - even with the potential for rusting it should last longer than the plastic it replaces. It is 15 cm [6 inches] long. It is 10 cm [4 inches]. 4" Metal T Bar Door Hanger Entry Door Latch Fits RV Trailer Exterior Door Hook and Bracket Zinc Plated Steel The problem I have is that it's so long it holds the door at an angle so the T-bar doesn't fit in the latch. I solved it by bending the T-Bar. Another argument for metal, it's easier to replicate than plastic! I haven't testedโ€ฆ
