Description of 🚘 Red Line MTL Manual Transmission Oil- 4 Quarts (4 Pack): Optimal Performance for Manual Transmissions

LONGER SYNCHRO LIFE - High-performance gear protection, satisfies the gear oil viscosity requirements of 75W, 80W and motor oil viscosities of SAE 30, 10W30, 5W36. OFFERS QUICKER SHIFTS - MLT Gear Oil with balanced friction control for most manual transmission synchronizers. Other synthetic gear oils are often too slippery. SAFE FOR BRASS SYNCHROS - As it lacks the reactive sulfurs found in most GL-5 oils that cause damage. Recommended for GL-1, GL-3 & GL-4 applications. COMPATIBLE WITH - BMW, Honda/Acura, Ford Focus, late-model Mini Cooper, Land Rover/Range Rover LT77S, Mitsubishi, Dodge & Jeep NV1500, NV3500, NV3550 & NV5600 truck transmissions. WHY RED LINE - Established in 1979, Red Line Products perform & protect better than any on the market. No compromises.

Very good manual transmission fluid

I love this 75w80 GL-4 MTF from Redline. Works better in my Honda/Acura than the Torco MTF. The Torco Fluid is really good (I think better) but I picked up the vibrations in 2nd gear, maybe it was too smooth for the diff or other MT components. This Redline 75w80 GL-4 MTF oil is lower viscosity than Torco and appears to be quite comparable (viscosity only) to Honda's HG MTF oil which sounded terrible in my car and wasn't very smooth. My service manual originally recommended a 10w-30 MT motor…

Fixed major shifting issues in my Mazdaspeed3

(PLEASE NOTE: The old oil in the photo is old original Mazda fluid! This is NOT used Redline oil.) I used it in my 2010s with Mazdaspeed3 about 75,000km on it. . I changed it myself, the shops in the area didn't want to bother with it. The original gear oil was never changed (simply because Mazda claims the original factory fluid is a "lifetime" fluid, which is obviously NOT the case) and came out of the car dark as coke and thick as (the real one ) maple syrup. And this new liquid is clear…

So here's the story. I have a 2007 Honda Civic with a 5 speed manual transmission. This is a good daily driver that said it all. After about 90,000 km of driving, it became difficult to turn on the second gear. Sometimes the synchronizer refused to turn the gear before engaging, leading to destructive wear of the "gear", in other cases the locking ring did not interfere with the cam clutch teeth. The situation quickly deteriorated to the point where 2 on 95k became virtually unusable. Curse! A…
