🌊 Red Sea Aquatic Salts Review

I spent a lot of time deciding which salt to use in my reef tank and finally settled on the Red Sea. I feel like their entire product line is really great and backed by a lot of research. This salt becomes crystal clear very quickly and my reef thrives on it. I didn't even think about a change. This salt mix is great for a growing reef, while their other salt mix is more suitable for a stable mature aquarium as this mix has a higher additive content, especially alkalinity.

I use this in my 60 gallon mixed reef aquarium. I had no problems with it, I will be ordering my 3rd bucket soon. I've been using it for my weekly water change for about 6 months. This was my favorite of the salt brands and not much more expensive. It's a lot cheaper on amazon than the local store. I'm a big fan of this salt. I have used several different types and the aquarium has really responded to this one. Even in the midst of some nutrient issues (cyano, so much cyano), switching to this salt revitalized the SPS, seemed to increase growth and coloring. The product is amazing! My corals look amazing and my coli especially loves it! As for the seller, the shipping box arrived undamaged. I understand the bucket may arrive cracked and I don't mind. However, when the shipping carton was opened, salt flowed out of the bucket. I bought it because people said it was the best but I had and still have bad experiences with it. I did a 220g water change. My corals love it but my livestock are dying. I've seen changes in my beautiful fish throughout the day. The next day I tested my water and noticed that it lowered my pH.
