it doesn't work for aftermarket radio, when you turn off the car radio it stays on. I had to run a separate wire to the ignition to make it work.

It works well and when you buy a stereo that you can turn on and off yourself it doesn't really matter but it's a bit annoying that they didn't hook up the ignition perfectly. That shouldn't be difficult.

I've bought several radio wiring harnesses and this is the ONLY one that comes with terrible instructions. There are five other wires in the harness that are not listed in the "Instructions". I used this to fit and retrofit a radio on my 2011 VW Tiguan. I also had an issue where the stereo was on all the time. The wire harness works well for connecting speakers, ground, and 12 volts DC, but not so well for connecting lights and accessories.
