I washed the item before use. The blue nose with the hose had to be pulled up. I took it off the board and then rotated the house onto the blue base until it stopped tightening. He just sits below. When you want to pour, open the small blue hole behind the handle, open the spout and plant straight. After pouring, it must be lowered again so that the spout does not run out. I love it. Running without water is no good. And now I don't have to make water every day before work! Thank you!

Worked fine for a month then the glue holding the seal failed. Water ran all over the interior of my car. Was on a trip and didn't have room for a non-working water tank so had no choice but to throw it out and buy it from Walmart. The new one I bought was only $15 and was a much better design. As you can see on the left side of the picture, the rubber seal is no longer sticking to the inside edge of the lid. I can't return it but I hope the seller will give me the money back. Absolutely avoid.

Strong, superior to the old blue cube and its very slim angle. Fine flow control. Good extension of the nose. Trim the flash shape under a large cap, which won't be difficult. Lots of mold inside that needs cleaning. Soaked in a mild vinegar solution for a few days before trying it and I don't notice any bad plastic taste and hope that's true after sun exposure. Hopefully the little rubber air valve is strong and while it has a silicone feel and is quite durable I wasn't expecting it to last as

I did a lot of research on plastic water storage tanks and read many reviews on many different ones before deciding on this one. Big disappointment! This thing would be perfect if it weren't for the horrific design flaws on the lids: 1. The threads on the large, upward-opening lid are not fixed. It might feel tight when screwing it in, but if you push it a little further it pops out. All of these sealing issues mean nothing unless the threads are tightened. I love this little 4 gallon camping washdown pitcher. Much easier to handle than a large 7 gallon "blue pitcher". I was pleasantly surprised at how well this style of valve compares to others. The plastic body of this pitcher is not as thick as the "blue pitcher," but slightly thicker than the 2.5-gallon grocery store drinking water pitchers. I assume it will last for many trips.
