My Perfect Camping Washdown Pitcher

I love this little 4 gallon camping washdown pitcher. Much easier to handle than a large 7 gallon "blue pitcher". I was pleasantly surprised at how well this style of valve compares to others. The plastic body of this pitcher is not as thick as the "blue pitcher," but slightly thicker than the 2.5-gallon grocery store drinking water pitchers. I assume it will last for many trips. I put my jug in the milk crate to protect it in the back of the truck when going over bumpy roads and use the crate as a stand for that when a stump or tailgate isn't available at camp. I'm glad that while it's designed for use with a valve, it also has a small but sturdy footprint. Not bulky at all. The large lid is a bonus. This allows you to better clean the interior, fill it with liquids and even ice. When traveling I take the valve assembly and put on the smaller flat cap and put the valve in a jar for protection so I don't lose it. The little accordion hose that fits over the valve spout is also a nice touch and comes with the kit. And it also comes with a replacement gasket for the large cap
