Description of Sony Bypass Parking Brake in Motion Interface Harness - Enhance Video Setting Functionality with RED WOLF

Fit to most of sony head unit like XAV-60 XAV-622 XAV-62BT XAV-70BT XAV-72BT XNV-660BT XNV-770BT XAV-701HD XAV601BT XAV-64BT XAV-63 XAV-W650BT XAV-602BTXAV-712HD. Installation is straight-forward. There are three wires - Connect black wire to radios black wire (radio ground wire(-)), blue goes to radios blue/white wire (remote amp turn on(+), and green goes to radios light green wire (parking brake wire(-)). Solder connections and heat shrink tubing for best results. Maybe you have no intention of watching videos while driving but will also locked out of basic menu features without it, such as setting up bluetooth and using the sony/headunit built-in Spotify app. This was super easy to install and worked flawlessly on sony. Just 3 wires to connect to the back of the head unit, with matching colors and easy to follow instructions. Bypass is constructed well include the standard wire and the head plug. Does Not Require You To Cycle the Ignition On and Off, And Is Fully Automatic. But the best is don't play it when you are driving.

Worked great on XAV-1000 and XAV-210

Worked exactly as described on the Sony XAV-1000 and then the XAV-210 which I replaced my first stereo with. The wires are thin, but no problem.

Pros
  • Auto AV Install
Cons
  • Minor

It does what

Worked the first time and did what I wanted 🙂 Be careful when using, we're flipping the safety feature . I find the feature too intrusive, but they make sense. Have fun 😊

The bypass worked well on the Sony XAV-AX1000!

I wanted everyone in my car to be able to watch movies while driving. I received a Sony XAV-AX1000 for Christmas to replace a damaged 15 year old tuner in my commuter car. Before installing it I was looking for a way to do it and this Bypass Parking Brake in Motion video did the trick. It was easy to install with the included instructions. I just installed it during my clean install. I found another guide on how to tear off the car's front panels to easily replace the damage tuner. I can't…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • retrofittable
