Works great: test, measure and verify

Easy to understand, easy to use, seems to work well when I need to measure sound levels. The high/low blocking feature comes in handy when there is background noise.

Great product, would be nice if it was like that.

Great product, it would be nice if it had a strap/lanyard ring and if it had something to prevent the windshield from being removed as easily as glass. (rubber ring at the base?)

Helping employees protect their hearing

The R8060 Sound Level Meter is very easy to use and very accurate. I use it to measure sound levels in a sheet metal shop and it has helped me a lot in knowing which areas are louder than others and enforcing the use of earplugs to keep everyone safe. I recommend this product for any type of environment.

Does exactly what it should.

I am very happy with my Reed R8060 sound level meter. It does exactly what it was designed to do, which is to accurately measure sound levels. If you want to be very accurate you need to buy a Reed R8090 sound level calibrator. My R8060 gauge met the specs, but I was able to improve its accuracy with the R8090. If you want to be extremely accurate, it is recommended that you calibrate the sound level meter each time you use it and then recheck the calibration after you have taken measurements.
