This tool was needed to cut old pipe from an existing fitting. It was between this and one of the cone reamers. It took a lot of material, and of course it was my first time using it, but it seemed to make the connection pretty sloppy. I wish there was a depth adjustment on the blade that could be made little by little until the new tube was snug. But it solved my problem and saved me time and money.

  • Permanent Test Results

Saved my 34 year old Sonoma Hot Tub

leaked within 2 inches of the tub and was beyond repair. It was taped into a PVC tee boxed in rigid foam insulation that would be a nightmare to replace. I dared this tool and it was amazing! He drilled the old flex pipe into this tee, leaving a nearly new end to glue on a new piece of flex pipe. In my case twice as expensive.

Pros
  • . Certified
Cons
  • . Not as thick as other picks.

Seems great. The truth doesn't shine.

Finally I have a reason to use this tool. I drilled the female flange as straight as possible. When testing a piece of 2" sh. 40 PVC it fits very sloppy. I definitely wouldn't want to try gluing in new pipe hoping the glue would hold the seal. Very disappointed. I also got 1-1/ Bought 2" and 3" reamers. Haven't tried them yet. The product ID and OD number seems perfect, but it wanders around when drilled. Also the cutting blade is not adjustable. I will rom contact as the point of no return is…

Best tool I've bought good for pipe fittings

I needed to redo the plumbing in my pool. This tool saved me many times the cost of my purchase as I was able to save 2 $100 Jandy valves that had previously been installed incorrectly. Easy to use, I recommend using a spare drill bit if you have one. It also helps if you manage to orient the part so you're drilling straight down, but it will still work fine. Once you have a good bite, the whole PVC noodle will come out as one piece. It works well. I used a gray heavy PVC glue as it is more…

Quality tool for unique situations

This reamer worked great. Easy to use and saved me a lot of time and money. It is used when remodeling and working with PVC that was in the basement. The old connection was at ground level. I was able to cut the pipe and ream it open for a new connection. This was my last chance before I had to cut concrete. Tips: Practice on the old connection first; Walk slowly and as straight as possible. Please note that as this cutting tool is very thick it will give a clean cut all around after a good…

An essential tool for removing a broken pipe from a fitting

I have been a professional landscaper and an expert in irrigation and irrigation repair since 1977. If you're wondering if this tool is suitable for removing a broken pipe from a fitting, I can attest that it works fantastic. Don't buy the cheap ones - I've used them all. Spend the extra money and buy this one. It is of very good quality and works great if you do it right. Here are some tips from a pro. Cut the pipe over the fitting. I use a cordless grinder with a metal blade. This works great
