This is a versatile nutcracker. I mainly use it for English walnuts. Breaks everything with ease. This item replaced a similar item I had years ago and gave away without thinking I would need it. I have a plastic one and have used it for most of this year's nuts I got from a friend. I chose this nutcracker over the cheaper Duke version because the Duke comment said the threaded shank couldn't be adjusted far enough for small nuts.
