Reef Octopus OctoPulse 4 Wave Pump for Aquariums - 4500 GPH Review

The LEDs on the controller started to burn out after a few months. I left it, but now a year later most of the indicators on the controller are not working. ReefOctopus is 100% non-responsive to my warranty requests.

Perfect for my Infinity Edge that needs a very specific flow rate to avoid overflowing the gutter and achieve the desired waterfall effect. This pump is advertised as being quiet, I can't even tell when it's on! Will be buying DC pumps for all my future returns for energy savings, noise and additional flow control. Definitely worth the extra money compared to an AC pump.

This item is amazing. Produces a lot more flow than I expected. I usually run the pump at full power, but I had to reduce it to half. I have it in the middle of a 200 gallon reef. Added a great thread that eliminates dead spots and my large Ritterii anemone seems to love it. I have several other reef octopus products and they have all had great success. Pretty easy to mount in the tank.

This pump is a beast! You pay a little more, but it packs a lot of power. Do you know what it doesn't have? Foam cover for 30 cents. My dog-faced fugu hit him with his tail. He died. $279 and no foam protection? Four stars because of my expensive Rover. Other than that, it's great. Powerful, adjustable, quiet, stylish design. After reading the hype I went ahead and ordered this pump. At first I felt it looked more like plastic than I would have liked. Maybe because of lack of weight? This pump replaced the Supreme Mag 18. I was looking for something that was quieter and used less power while still being submersible. As it stands I found the pump to be quieter and I like the slow start feature. .
