Unfortunately, although it is listed as a 15A coil and the wire size is rated for 15A, it has a 13A breaker. This means that power tools that actually require a 15 amp circuit will not work with this coil. Made it useless for my table saw and for my band saw. Otherwise it folds easily, retracts normally and was generally fine. But I had to switch to one that actually works like a 15 amp cord.

I bought two. One works great. Another was sent back because the mechanism that prevented the cable from being retracted did not work. I knocked off 500. I need to replace the one I was supposed to return but I don't know if I want to take a risk or switch brands. And it was sold out or more expensive than the original purchase. Not entirely happy with that. I will say the one I kept has been working great for 3 months now and is a pleasure to use.

This is a really good heavy duty cord reel. I installed it on the ceiling in my garage next to the garage door opener (to use that outlet for electricity) and it works great. I like having 3 sockets at the end. You can plug a light and a tool into an outlet wherever you work. With this cable you can safely power everything in your shop and don't have to worry about electrical fires. This safely supports the circuit up to 20 amps!

i bought a total of 3 of them. 2 were installed upon arrival. Just installed the 3rd device. however there are 2 different problems.1. Plug 3 of the socket was not live. Cable spools appear to be rare/expensive items. I had two that I bought from Costco a few years ago and the one I used the most didn't work. I bought it as a replacement hoping it would be more reliable and could handle more current. It handles more current than my old coil. I can run a table saw, miter saw and shop vacuum on it.
