Great buy for beginners wanting to explore

What a great set to start painting again! Although they are not large tubes, the coverage is good, they blend well and the color palette is wide enough to create beautiful tones. They dry faster than traditional oil paints, but that's to be expected.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Seniors

Beautiful color, slightly different from the usual consistency.

Haven't used anything other than white but upon checking none of the tubes were dry, packaging was in good condition and the one I used held up as expected. A little smoother than I'm used to from this brand, no problem with the color just caught off guard.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Approx

Not the highest quality but still love them

These colors are not top colors but they suit me. I've also been using this brand since I was a kid, so it's sentimental to me. A worthwhile purchase for the price and the variety of colors, especially for beginners. I was so excited to see the new color options! In general a good buy.

Pros
  • Everything is great!

Water based oil paints

Inexpensive set of essential oil paints. They're good enough for beginning painters or those who want to see if a water-based paint will work before buying a more expensive set. These colors seem to dry very evenly and the true shade is not what I'm used to. I still use them for touch ups but have replaced them with Cobra colors.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Good starter kit

Really enjoyed getting started with these watercolors! I'm a beginner so I was mainly looking for cheap pigments, not super high quality pigments. Helping me get started was great! They don't crack when dry and are easy to work with. Now I'm into watercolor! The only downer was that I soon wanted to have more colors that could not be mixed from this set (pink/purple etc.).

Pros
  • Art, painting and craft supplies
Cons
  • So far so good

Good material for watercolor artists

Reeves is a great brand of watercolor paints. I've used a few in my art and keep coming back to Reeves. If you're interested in consistent color and texture but don't want to spend money on brands like Windsor and Newton or the like, you can't go wrong with Reeves. Color selection is basic but you can easily mix and match what you need or head to the store and complete your range with a few tubes of Koi, W&N or similar.

  • paints
Cons
  • I'll write later

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

This is not my first watercolor set that I have collected to compare different brands. If you're trying to start something and are completely broke, this will work just fine, BUT be warned: the colors just won't stick. I say let it dry for a full day, go back to the layer and your colors will fall no matter how they stick. They should not be used if you plan to glaze or layer, which is a common watercolor technique. They also have decent color strength, mix fairly well but can be a bit clumpy…

  • Painting
Cons
  • I will add later
