Warm mittens are good for men

Okay, these mittens are for warmth, not for tasks that require dexterity. I have Raynaud's Syndrome, a circulatory disorder that makes my fingers very sensitive to cold. I couldn't find gloves that would keep my hands warm before I found these. I wore a light lining on the coldest days, but these mittens made a huge difference in my comfort and how long I could stay out, even in sub-zero temperatures.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Out of style

Durable and super warm.

Sturdy real mittens, no movement, just super warm and comfortable. Not that easy to put on and take off so I wouldn't recommend them if you need to take them off and on a lot in inclement weather, but for longer use like a soccer game or walking the dog they're great. Wearing them in -18 degree winds I can say they offer excellent protection and keep my hands warm and dry.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

You are very warm. The leather is heavy, the stitching is good.

If you like mittens, you will definitely love these. You are very warm. The leather is heavy, the stitching is good. Lots of space inside. I would say they are a little bigger than I thought for the big ones. I also have RefrigiWear three finger leather mittens and I think the additional use of just one finger is better. However, these mittens have very long cuffs on the sleeves, which I like.

Pros
  • Easy to attach
Cons
  • Neutral color

Very warm mitten, needs a liner glove underneath, great price

I bought these in February 2018 and decided now, almost two full years later, it's time to give these gloves an honest foreword giving this rating by noting that for me, choppers are the big overhead mittens you wear when it's freaking cold and you have to spend a lot of time outside. For me, a mitten is an article that can be worn without a lined inner glove; while a chopper is a large piece of leather that you wear over smaller gloves. I didn't know this for almost 2 seasons: treating these…

If you need warm mittens, look elsewhere

I live in North Florida and it's 31 degrees right now. I wanted these mittens to be worn when I go to the barn to do my business first thing in the morning. This was the first time I've worn these mittens and I'm very disappointed. First of all, the mittens are thick and hard, do not fit in the hand and it is almost impossible to do anything in them. I only had to use a broom and rake so it's not a big deal. However, I could feel the grips through my palm, and after spending about 10-15 minutes

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

Decent foam breaker

I really don't know why I chose them. They differ slightly in that they are made of foam with no lambswool lining. This makes them quite stiff but I'm sure they will break over time. I'm a woman with big hands I think. I almost bought the XL but chose the large thinking I could make it work even if it's too tight. To my surprise they are too big. Since they are so big and sturdy I am sending them back and choosing the middle one. The black material on the cuff looks a bit cheap but I'm sure it…

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Great product and I'm so glad I have it!

After trying many different gloves that didn't keep my hands warm even in moderately cold temperatures, I decided on these mittens. I'm glad I did! They keep my hands nice and warm even in very cold weather outside! They are a bit large so I will order a smaller pair and also try gloves from the same brand hoping they are just as warm.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No

All well done

The mittens arrived in a few days which was a very pleasant surprise, more than adequately packaged and in perfect new condition. The fit, workmanship and quality of the product are excellent. There was no extra thread or loose ends anywhere. The fit is as advertised. In this case, the X-Large fits exactly as I intended, with a glove liner. Size is industry standard. When I received them I treated them with a waterproofing spray to make them water repellent. They're warm, fit just right, and…

One reviewer mentioned that it's a bit like wearing boxing gloves.

Very warm. One reviewer mentioned that it's a bit like wearing boxing gloves, which are just around the corner. These are definitely thick, clunky, ugly mittens, but they'll keep your hands warm in even the coldest of conditions. My pair was a little more orange or amber than the bright yellow in the product photos. They don't seem to be very waterproof, so you might want to wax them if you use your hands in the snow a lot. You lose a lot of your dexterity when you wear them, but you can still…
