Easy-to-open hood

The handle fits perfectly. The hardest part was opening the stuck hood on my 2013 Ford Fusion which broke the exhaust. It took me 2 hours to open 2 latches through the front grille even with the help of a youtube video. It's a little tricky getting the end of the cable back onto the new version, but everything works as it should once the hood latch mechanisms have been lubricated. Saved hundreds from shipping to dealer

Great replacement for 2013 Ford Fusion

Parts fit my 2013 Ford Fusion perfectly. I actually prefer this hood latch handle over the OEM version. To open the hood, I had to pull the cable out from under the broken handle and pull on it with pliers. It seemed easier than trying to open the hood through the bars. The hardest part for me was getting the old grip off. After that, installing the new handle was relatively easy. The total time was about 30 minutes.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some problems

As good or better than the original hood release.

This was a great replacement for the Ford Fusion's famous flimsy bonnet latch. You have to manually open the hood through the grille with a screwdriver (great YouTube videos show you how). Then loosen a screw and disconnect the cable, plug it into a new one, reattach the new one to the car and you'll be back in business in about 20 leisurely minutes. An ideal replacement part, although slightly different from the stock part, this is probably due to the improved construction of the product.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • It's OK

Did the job (Ford Fusion 2013)

Perfect fit to replace the broken one. A tip: Two people are required to open the hood without a handle. While the person in the car pulls the cable under the dash (with quite a bit of force), the other person pushes on the two front corners of the hood (you won't reach the corners, just spread your arms and give him a short one). , strong push). This should unlock the hood to secure so we can open it. Installation - on this car at least there are two latches under the hood so the cable coming…
