When I bought these Epson Remanufactured cartridges I had a bad feeling. It feels like it's a mistake. When I put the cartridge into my printer, the printer reported that the printer could not recognize the cartridge. So I took out the cartridge, gently wiped the contacts on the controller chip, and put it back in. Again, the printer did not recognize the cartridge. I'm running low on my first set of mytoner cartridges in my Epson WF-3640 so I came back to buy a new set and give a review. I have bought many ink cartridges over the years and many of them have caused problems - clogging etc. So far these cartridges have been fine. Install them, ignore the warning that I installed unrecognized cartridges and print. One star off for "easy installation" because of the warning, but other than that the product gets 5 stars.

I wasn't sure if this toner would work; I used to have to clean the heads multiple times for the toner to work. NOT WITH THIS TONER! After the printer loaded the toner, all colors printed very well. I will definitely buy again. Plus, the cost difference is astronomical!

I used a refurbished one on my only laptop that I haven't updated in years. Today I installed an Epson printer on a Dell laptop through their website. I switched black to this cartridge and the printer printed everything but black. Wouldn't recognize any other brand. THEREFORE DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR PRINTER IN ANY PROGRAM (FAX ETC.) IF YOU WANT TO USE REPLACED INK CARTRIDGES.

The printer displays a message that the installed cartridges are not genuine Epson ink. If you try to print a test page or whatever, the quality is terrible; very light to the point of being illegible and bad or colorless. It's a lot cheaper than new genuine ink, but if it's useless it's a much worse waste of money.

I'll take a chance and say that I don't think you need to be a printer expert to replace printer cartridges. But having said that I've tried almost everything including turning the printer off and unplugging all the cables, removing the tape from the cartridges, cleaning the copper connectors with rubbing alcohol and then using a copper wire brush (because when they arrived, there seemed to be a matte layer of something covering the copper connectors), automatically cleaned the printer's print…
