Easy to Install Solar Mounting Brackets

I am new to using solar panels. I found these mounts to be affordable and very easy to install and use. I know they seem flimsy, probably for advanced solar users, but for my use they were perfect. I connected them to a 100 watt panel and this allows me to mount the panel on a portable table at right angles to the sun to charge the batteries. I simply move the table as the sun moves across the sky to follow the sun to get full power. The mounts can be adjusted to the desired degree for maximum…

Be careful when installing on the roof of a van

For vans. If you can keep them flipped all the time, then this review doesn't apply to you. I've been on the roof for the past few days installing sloping panels and on my next install they won't be there. What I didn't factor in was the space you need to put your hand between the panels and in some cramped spots where 3 panels would fit, two really went. Also, I doubt many people use pre-made tilt mounts without modifications. My roof, which I thought was flat, was slightly arched. So when the

Good price - but some packages are missing screws and washers - normal?

How: High quality aluminum corners and fittings. The large handles are particularly good. The aluminum has a clear anodized finish, I wasn't able to buy parts and could make my own at a lower price. Allows you to easily adjust the angle for seasonal optimization. Dislikes: Some packages were missing a few washers and screws - I had to go to Tractor Supply to buy enough to install all my panels. The biggest disappointment: the ridiculous rationing by the manufacturer. I bought my first set in…

I expected better from Renogy

I really expected a better product from Renogy. Maybe I'm just picky and my standards are higher, but I might be in a better position going to Home Depot or using parts. picture on the internet. But how difficult is it to add a piece of paper with instructions. They already include a beautifully printed flyer promoting their other products. None of the elements are flush or symmetrical. I expect this will cause seat height issues. Looks like they just randomly cut and pack the pieces. I expect…

Minor modifications for use as a portable RV stand

I bought a pair of 100w Renogy panels to use with my caravan. Even though my kit came with roof mounts, I knew I wouldn't mount them there. On the east coast our campsites are cut into the forest so there is no choice which way to park, chances of heading south are pretty slim. I also didn't want to drill more holes in the roof or climb up there to position the panels. The mobile mount and 20ft cord means I'm much more likely to get them in the sun, our favorite spots are well shaded. When…

Close but no cigar

I ordered 4 of these brackets to install four 170w Rich solar panels on my RV. One package of hardware (nuts, bolts, screws) was missing from the 4 sets. Revain fixed it with no problem, accepted the return and sent a replacement straight away. This kit is for solar panels up to 28" wide and my 170w panels are about 26.5" wide. Although the listing says they are for sub 100w modules I see no reason why you can't use them on a 170w module. First of all I have to say that this is by far the…
