Works great with Oil Filter Wrench

This tool is ideal for removing filters from lenses. When gripping sideways with other devices, there are no problems creating imbalance on the sides of the filter. This device does not work with a circular polarization filter.

Pros
  • Oil Filter Wrench
Cons
  • Drive Socket Required

Didn't work: Tools and equipment

Bought a used 70-200mm lens. The seller said the filter was clogged. I assured her I could take it off. Nothing worked. I bought this tool thinking it could remove the toughest filter. It does not work. I had to take the lens to a camera shop 50 miles away.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Some cons

I used this to disassemble a Pentax 300mm f4 Takumar lens and it worked great! It is a wrench consisting of a ring-shaped, black anodized aluminum handle with a rubber friction ring inserted inside. It is designed for unscrewing threaded parts with a diameter of 77 mm. It's an excellent tool and does exactly what it's supposed to do and it couldn't be better. I highly recommend this tool and its other sizes to anyone who wants to work with camera lenses.

Pros
  • Oil System Tools
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time
