Separated from the base

The Honeywell RUVLAMP1 is a little tight. I bought several of these and the last one broke when I put it in. The glass has come off the base.

Short-lived UV lamp: Compact fluorescent lamps

This UV lamp has a lifespan of 10,000 hours (10,000 hours/24 hours = 416 days of continuous use). Mine only lasted about 150 days! I bought this UV lamp because of its durability and that is obviously not true.

Works well. I drove longer than I should have.

Works well. Took longer than it should with the original lamp. We noticed smells and other things that seemed to go away when I first installed the device. After changing the lightbulb it seems better.

I strongly recommend that you order lamps that are listed and packaged as.

Lamps were junk ALL failed within a day. One "popped" as soon as I plugged it in and turned on the power. The other two didn't even light up. I put the old bulbs in to test the cartridge and the old bulbs lit up right away. It appears to be some sort of fake Honeywell "Made in China" lamp. The bulbs came in standard thin white packaging, NOT the one you normally receive them in. I highly recommend you order the bulbs listed and boxed as Honeywell RUVBULB1, even if you have to pay a few bucks…
