Good blades: scrapbooking and stamping

I need new cutting blades for my Cricut. I decided to go ahead and buy these blades. These blades work just like all of my other Cricut blades. They are nice and sharp and cut through my paper allowing the paper to be cut accurately. You get a deep-cut drop blade and two standard blades. I needed a deep blade to cut vinyl. The deep cut blade cuts vinyl perfectly. While not a cricket brand, it worked well.

Pros
  • even old people understand
Cons
  • unreliable

Works great.: Punches

Used for cutting in my Cricut Explore Air. Cuts through 80-pound card stock like butter, even on complex designs. Along with the purchase, I bought a couple of Cricut-more's for fear they wouldn't work. Received Cricut today. It was from a man in California. Um Provo Craft is based in Utah. The blades look the same and there was a sticker with the Cricut logo on the bottom of the box. I wonder what we're actually paying for when we buy direct from Provo.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Out of style

Amazing quality for scrapbooking and stamping

So I opened up a brand new Cricut blade and as you can see in the pictures above (photos 2 and 4) it tore the paper and didn't work well. I decide, even though it's new, to try one of those blades I just bought and it cut the design PERFECTLY (photos 1 and 3)! I used the same settings, same paper, same mat and everything. I can't believe the difference. All along I thought these were my mats, but turns out Cricut blades (and mats) stink. Now I will only buy them.

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • is embarrassing

Quality NOT Cricut - stamped and embossed

How can they claim that these blades last many times longer than other blades? They don't fucking work right out of the box! One vinyl wrecked, then another with a new deep cutting blade. Okay, maybe it was an accident. Switched to another brand new one and it still doesn't cut through the substrate evenly! I'm afraid to even try their standard blade! Went to Joanne and they had real Cricut blades at a great price so got two sets. They should hold me 100 times longer than this shit! Get what…

Pros
  • Few competitors

They're ok, but I won't buy them again.

These blades aren't that good. They are alright. I just put one in my car today and when I'm about to take the vinyl off the excess piece of the pattern I cut out comes loose from the design pieces because it's still attached a bit, if you apply pressure it comes loose , but it's a pain in the range to weed a large vinyl design if the cut isn't going 100% through the vinyl. It is hard to explain. I usually buy Cricut blades and don't run into this problem, but decided to try and save a few…

Pros
  • Lasts three times longer when used to cut lightweight materials to standard materials

but was very disappointed with this product

I don't normally write reviews but was very disappointed with this product. The blade brand is not Cricut. It arrived quickly and came in a cute little case, but when I used it with the Explore Air 2 for some of my trickier/smaller cuts it looked like a drunk person had cut it. All edges were uneven and not quite accurate. When I returned my old Cricut Brand blade all my issues were resolved. I was trying to save some money but I need to buy a new Cricut blade to meet my needs. On the plus…

Pros
  • High quality carbide machining for ultra fine cut and quality
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Will not cut through 7 mil stencil sheets

We have decided to replace the blade with a new one. They never cut as deep as the original brand. This usually ranged from slightly deeper than a film scratch to a slight cut, but the cut pieces still did not separate or cause the material to tear. Thinking it's a problem with the machine or the stencil material and trying again and again. We've replaced these blades with a traditional Cricut blade with a deep cut and ta-da. It worked great. So it ended up costing a lot more than just buying a
